14 Compact Equipment NOVEMBER/DECEMBER 2018 Case Construction Equipment rounded out 2018 with some interesting and excellent product introductions. Case announced its first precision-enabled attachment for Case skid steers and compact track loaders — the new Case Laser Grading Box. Ideal for concrete subgrade, ath- letic fields, parking lots, driveways, equestrian arenas and other fine-grading applications, the laser grading box cre- ates precise finish grades to within 1/10th of an inch. The attachment would probably work perfectly on Case's new TV450 compact track loader, a 10,610-lb verti- cal-lift machine with a rated operating capacity of 4,500 lbs at 50 percent tipping load. It features an industry lead- ing 9,188 lbs of breakout force, optional high-flow (3,450 psi at 39.5 gpm) and enhanced high-flow (4,000 psi at 35 gpm) hydraulics for high-power attachments such as mulching heads, stump grinders and cold planers. Rounding things out, Case just announced numerous updates to its N Series backhoe loaders, including new industry-exclusive PowerBoost functionality, a new Pow- erDrive transmission upgrade with Direct Drive and a fac- tory-installed thumb that makes backhoe operation even more versatile. Or, maybe we won't — because the big- gest trade show in the world (by physical size) has gotten a lot bigger, and it might be difficult to find each other. Visiting the biggest construction show in the world, held only every three years, is a bucket list event, and the 2019 edition already has more than 3,500 exhibitors from 55 countries — almost 100 more than in 2016. The organiz- ers, Messe München, expect the five-day event to break the 600,000-visitor mark. The demand to expand the site in eastern Munich has increased the footprint to 614,000 sq meters. And because they only have so much space, bauma has created a virtual and augmented reality center in Hall BO. Wow. Visit to get started. The Company Releases New Track Loader, Revamped Backhoe and Grading Attachments Available in 72-, 84- and 96-in. configurations, the laser grading box attachment is compatible with both skid steers and track loaders. This Liebherr booth is the most insane booth you will ever see.
