34 Compact Equipment NOVEMBER/DECEMBER 2018 ASV is digging out another niche — the smallest track loaders in the industry. Its just-released RT-25 is now the smallest track loader in the market. The RT-25 serves as an awesome economical alternative for contractors, engineered with a 25-hp Perkins die- sel engine, 5.1 mph top speed, 1,900-lb tipping load and an 8.4-ft lift height. The RT-25 measures just 48 in. wide. ASV also introduced the RT-40, which has a 48.3-in. width. The 4,175-lb RT-40 features a rated operating capacity of 931 lbs and a tipping load of 2,660 lbs. It features speed as fast as 7.1 mph and a high auxiliary circuit flow rate with a 13.3-gpm pump capacity and 3,000-psi system pressure. Both units allow contractors and homeowners to complete jobs with ease that may otherwise have been cumbersome with larger machines — like resi- dential areas where fences may need to be removed to let big equipment through or snow clearing on sidewalks, driveways and in alleyways. These small track loaders are being marketed as a safer and more productive alternative to walk-behind and stand-on compact tool carriers or mini skid steers (like a Toro Dingo).
